A big surprise but now it’s 100% official as it was also posted on the Mojang Blog today. Minecraft for Nintendo’s Wii U console will be released on December 17th and it will cost $29:99 in US, available to download from the eShop.
The games will come bundled with six of our most popular add-on packs including a Festive Holiday mash-up.
- Battle & Beasts Skin Pack
- Battle & Beasts 2 Skin Pack
- Natural Texture Pack
- City Texture Pack
- Fantasy Texture Pack
- Festive Mash-up Pack
Gamers will also be able to purchase additional add-on packs at the time of launch through the Nintendo eShop
This version also offers Off-TV play on the Gampad. Mojang blog also indicates that the company will be adding extra content back to this WiiU version in the near future.
As of today, Amazon.com, Walmart, Target, BestBuy, GameFly or any other retailers have not released any announcement on when they will offer this Minecraft WiiU version in stores/online and if they will be part of any special discounts offers or an on-going discount offered through these stores.
